Kirk is a California native who currently lives in southern California with his wife and son.  He grew up in La Habra, attended Servite High School in Anaheim and graduated from San Diego State University (SDSU) where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.

Like most outdoorsman, Kirk has been fishing since his childhood but began targeting bass in 1994 during his first year at SDSU and has fished competitively as a co-angler since 2002.  He has three first place finishes and numerous top five finishes to his credit.  As a Copy Editor and Writer for Bass Angler's Guide, Kirk brings over a decade of Public Relations and Marketing experience to the publication and is always looking for article ideas and ways to support his sponsors and ultimately grow their market share.  He's also been a member and officer of his local bass club, South Orange County Bassmasters (www.socb.net), since 2003.

During his professional career, Kirk has represented a wide variety of companies including Coca-Cola Enterprises, Cholestech Corporation, Sun Microsystems, Hendrick Automotive Group, Mercedes-Benz U.S.A. the Automobile Club of Southern California (AAA).  Kirk also ran his own mortgage and real estate practice for over five years but has moved into an investor position to free up time for his family.  When it comes to real estate and insurance, Kirk is always willing to give people his advice and the service they need.

In his spare time, he enjoys scuba diving, fishing, golf, cooking (especially barbecue), sailing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.  Sports have always been, and still are, a huge part of his life.  He’s coached children from the ages of 18 months all the way through 14 years old in the sports of baseball, football, soccer, basketball and volleyball. As an animal care volunteer since 2002 at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach, he’s helped rescue and rehabilitate hundreds of stranded, injured and/or sick Seals, Sea Lions, Dolphins and Whales.  He’s also a proud member of the South Orange County Dive Club.
